Your Responsibilities

As a Working Student within Career Services, you will support the day-to-day delivery of career services, student engagement activities, events and employability initiatives at BSBI.

This is a hands-on role for someone who is organised, proactive and comfortable managing different tasks and priorities. You will work closely with the Careers Advisors and will often be one of the first points of contact for students engaging with Career Services.


In this role, you will:
  • Act as a first point of contact for Career Services, helping students and recent graduates understand the services, resources and support available to them.
  • Help manage the Careers shared mailbox, responding to general student enquiries, directing queries to the appropriate team member and following up where required.
  • Work with tasks assigned through Microsoft Planner, keeping track of deadlines, updating task status and ensuring assigned activities are completed on time.
  • Act as an ambassador for JobTeaser, helping students understand the platform and encouraging greater engagement with career opportunities, resources and events.
  • Support the preparation, coordination and delivery of career workshops, webinars and other employability initiatives, including participant communication, materials, attendance and session support.
  • Assist with the organisation and delivery of employer events, career fairs, company visits and networking activities at the Berlin campus.
  • Help create and distribute student-facing communications and promotional materials for career programmes, workshops, events and opportunities.
  • Support Career Services with student engagement and programme administration, including registrations, attendance records, feedback and basic reporting.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across Campus Management, Marketing, Student Life and other BSBI teams to support Careers initiatives.
  • Provide general administrative and operational support to the Careers Advisors and contribute to other Career Services projects as required.

Your profile


  • Currently enrolled as a BA or MA-level student at BSBI.
  • Excellent command of English (C2 level or equivalent), with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organisation and task-management skills, with the ability to manage several responsibilities and deadlines at the same time.
  • Some previous experience using task-management or collaboration tools such as Microsoft Planner.
  • Comfortable working with Microsoft 365, particularly Outlook, Teams, Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
  • A genuine interest in careers, employability and professional development, with an understanding of the skills employers look for in students and graduates.
  • Strong intercultural communication skills and confidence working with students from diverse backgrounds.
  • Empathy and the ability to communicate with students in an impartial, professional and supportive manner. Training and guidance will be provided.
  • A proactive mindset, you are comfortable taking ownership of assigned tasks, asking questions when needed and following through to completion.
  • Strong attention to detail, particularly when working with student communications, registrations, data and administrative processes.
  • Reliable, punctual and accountable, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

    • You must remain an active student until at least August 2026
    • Flexible working hours with a total of 20 hours per week
    • €13.90 per hour
    • Six-month employment contract
