Your Responsibilities

We are currently looking for a Senior Careers and Internship Advisor (m/f/d) for our rapidly expanding Careers Team to support the new mandatory internship programme at both Barcelona and Madrid campuses. 
This role combines career guidance for students and graduates with strong business growth responsibilities, particularly by building bridges with industry and securing internship agreements for BSBI students. 
You will report to the Head of Careers Service and you will be based in Madrid.

Your Responsibilities:
 
         Internally – Working with Students, Staff, and Academics: 
  • Provide individual career counselling and group career guidance sessions to students and graduates
  • Plan, develop, and deliver high-impact, in-person and hybrid workshops on career development, job search strategies and internship preparation
  • Act as a key point of contact for all matters related to internships, ensuring each student is matched to a suitable placement-provider that aligns with their field of study and career goals
  • Inform students of available internship opportunities, guiding them through application, interview, and placement processes
  • Liaise closely with academic staff, particularly course tutors, to align internship placements with academic requirements and ensure learning objectives are met
  • Supervise and support students throughout their internships, conducting regular check-ins and acting as a mediator if issues arise.
  • Oversee and manage the submission, tracking, and evaluation of student internship reports in collaboration with tutors and administrative teams
  • Travel between campuses (Barcelona and Madrid)
  • Conceptualise and create engaging Careers Service materials for students, graduates, and academic staffCreate and update Careers Service materials and resources for students
  • Collaborate proactively with the Campus Management, Marketing and Student Services Teams across Berlin, Hamburg, Barcelona,Madrid and Paris
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to support Careers Service activities

    Externally – Building and Managing Company Relationships:

  • Strategically develop and expand existing BSBI’s partner network, with a focus on securing internship providers in Engineering, Health,Marketing and IT sectors to secure internship opportunities for BSBI students.
  • Act as the main point of contact for internship providers, including internship supervisors to ensure contracts are signed and placements are successfully managed
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between BSBI and external organisations regarding internship coordination and ongoing communication to ensure internships run smoothly
  • Monitor internship progress and feedback from employers, ensuring a strong, professional relationship between the school and partner organisations
  • Plan, coordinate, and support employer events on campus, facilitating connections between students, graduates and potential employers
  • Assist the Head of Careers and Madrid and Barcelona Campus Managerin their day-to-day operations

Your profile

  • Fluency at C2 level in English and Spanish both written and spoken
  • Completed university degree
  • Proven experience in career guidance, talent management, student services or recruitment
  • At least one-year employment at a private or public education institution in Spain
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Canva
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong organisational flair, ability to multitask and a high level of self-motivation and initiative
  • A passion for mentoring students and supporting their academic and professional development
  • Empathetic, proactive, and solution-oriented attitude
